I remember showing you guys a picture of my back yard while we were at CL. Deb mentioned that I might want to paint my blue fence a darker color. I took her suggestion to heart and got to painting. I added some metal finials to the post tops and secured them with liquid nails. This picture was taken over a year ago, but the fence still looks great.
Here's another picture of my father-in-law. See the California Lilac "bush" that's morphed itself into a tree?
Man, I'm ready for summer!!!
(Okay, disregard the dog toy tire swing that's hanging from the arbor. My husband got sick of the dog begging us to throw it, so he tossed it up and out of the way. Sooo classy!)

Oh, Lisa, I love the way your fence looks! The color is perfect with all the greenery, and the finials look like they were meant to be there. That is one heck of a lilac "bush"! My mother always had one in the side yard, and I'm really yearning to smell lilacs...I have to plant one.
Your father-in-law has quite a lovely place to sit and relax.
Great job, all around, Lisa! :)

Lisa your backyard is so lush and the lilac tree is beautiful!
Since I didn't see the before of the blue fence I have nothing to compare it too, but I'm liking the fence and the finials as they are now.Good job!

After I read the post by rubyslippers mentioning Deb, I remembered that I had purchased a card from her on Etsy, so I left her a message there, telling her we miss her and where we are. I imagine someone else tried to contact her too? Well, we'll cross our fingers that she'll read it and join us.

Hey you I want to lounge around in a lawn chair back there and sip some good wine. The smell of the fir trees in your back yard must smell like Christmas trees all the time. No trees like that here.
The fence looks so very nice. Beautiful back yard.:):)

Memmy ~ Get yourself on a plane and come see me. I'll light a fire in the firepit and make you a blueberry tea (Amaretto, Grand Marnier and black tea ~ my new favorite!). We sat sit and chat until the sun comes up and smell the beautiful cedar, pines and wood smoke. Any other takers?

With the idea of plane tickets ... or that yummy drink concoction ... does that involve a recipe by any chance?
Next time I visit Oregon, I'm visiting - - end of discussion - - I'm so sad we didn't see you a couple of years ago when we were out there.

Be tempted! I'd love to visit with all of you. I enjoyed meeting our Gigi more than I can say. I'm usually pretty shy, but I felt comfortable with her right away. We've all gotten to know each other so well on line.

1 oz Grand MarnierŽ orange liqueur
Orange PekoeŽ tea
Mix amaretto and grand marnier in a brandy snifter or glass. Add hot tea to taste.
