So I'm sitting here enjoying a glass of wine after having spent a whole day in a class, and I hear this scratching noise coming from the wall between my place and the next unit. And more scratching. Then the cat gets interested. I go and listen and smack on the wall a bit. The noise goes away, then eventually it comes back. I go outside and look for holes where something could get in. I don't find anything. Still, I hear the scritch-scratch of tiny claws inside the wall. There is a mouse in the neighborhood (he was eating out of my birdfeeder this morning) so I suspect it is he. I can only hope that if he decides to actually break into a unit, he goes into my neighbor's since I have a cat and they don't.

I've reported it, via e-mail, to the condo management company. I have to be in a class all day every day this week, leaving the house before 7 and not getting back for 12 hours, so even if they send someone out, I can't be here. I can only hope this mouse isn't giving birth.

Well if it is dumb enough to come into your unit you'll be doing everyone a favor. :p

When my girls were little they had to have hamsters. Well one of them got loose and we could not find it anywhere. Until that night when we were laying in bed and hubs and I heard the same sound you are hearing. Scritch scratch in the wall. The hamster had somehow gotten behind our vanity in the bathroom and crawled into the walls and crawlspace under the house. That went on everynight for almost two weeks:eek: To say I was creeped out was an understatement. Hubs would tease me and tell me the hamster was going to get out and crawl into our bed and bite me. I love animals, but this hamster was evil. It bit everyone, and it bit hard. One day I was in the bathroom getting ready for work, heard a noise, looked down and there was the hamster peeking out of the drawer of our vanity. I am sorry to say that I did a gunshot reaction and slammed the drawer. I hope hammy does not torture me when I hit the everafter. It really was an accident:eek:

Oh my. Poor little guy. But I'd freak out too if something were staring at me from my bathroom drawer. I don't hear the mouse tonight, so maybe he decided to sleep somewhere else.
