Remember me saying that I was going to paint my front door red? Well I decided to do something out of the ordinary for me, I went with blue! Neptune Blue to be precise. Hubby and I thought there was enough red going on with the house already, so we chose a semi dark shade of blue. Blue goes with gray, right?

Yes- I think blue and grey defiantly go together!

I think the blue will look fantastic with the gray:)

Sounds good. The nice thing about paint is that you can always paint over it if you don't like it.

The "Blue" and the "Grey" fought in the Civil War but now it goes together very nice :p

Exactly! We can always paint the door again. Hubs and I have realized that it looks a bit like the Tardis, and since we both have been Dr. Who fans for years, it must have been a subconscious thing!

Maybe you'll also discover that just like the Tardis, there's always plenty of room inside for whatever you need, regardless of its small footprint. :)

Hey the Tardis is not a bad thing at all!!! Neptune Blue sounds pretty, can't wait to see it. Oh and I loved the tv series the Blue and the Grey. hey how can you go wrong with a young Patrick Swayze. :o

Yep, Patrick (Memory Eternal) was a hottie. I forgot he was in that show. My door is drying a bit darker than Tardis blue. Still, I think hubs had a good idea. It's looking pretty awesome! My oldest son came by to help strip wallpaper, took one look at the door and said, "What is it with you and front doors?" It's the Irish in me I guess.....

I think blue doors are pretty. My kitchen door used to be blue. Post a picture sometime!

Speaking of the Irish, I love their green doors and I'm not a big fan of green. They look so fresh and well Irish-y.

So many of the Irish live in those row houses that look just alike, I think they paint their doors lovely bright colors to give their homes some personality. But if you are talking about a whitewashed cottage, I mainly have seen red doors. Yep, Irish-y and cheery! My husband's family (Harrington) are from Bera. You can't swing a cat there without hitting a Harrington..... ;)

Love it, though if it was the Tardis it would be beat up a bit. ;)

Beat up is okay as long as there is no Daleks on the other side of the door!

We're going to paint our front door blue, we have brown/tan trim on our house. I wanted a different color for the door other than brown. Besides, blue is my favorite color. I just wish I had gotten it painted this summer, we need to strip the door due to previous bad paint jobs and chipping. I figured we better take the door off for that, but now both of us are having back problems! Maybe I'll try stripping it while it's hanging.....

Love the blue door. My house is blue and our front door is purple.

The front door should have a proportionate relationship with the back door to allow free flow of energy. If there is no back door the energy gets trapped, if there is a back door, the energy can flow through the house and leave from the back too quickly without providing nourishment of energy to the house. Your goal is to encourage sufficient Chi to enter the house. Use plants, furniture, lights, paintings, rugs, or other objects to create a curved path between the front and the back doors.

There are worse things to get from Dr Who. :D

There are several advantages to choosing a fiberglass front door over a wood or steel front door. Fiberglass front doors are known for their attractiveness, security, weather resistance, affordability and durability. Many home repair experts recommend fiberglass front doors as the best choice for the average homeowner. With a fiberglass door, you will never have the problem of being unable to open your front door after a heavy storm because it has warped or swollen.

Deep blue does go well with grey. A red door would have looked out of place. A black door would have gone well with the grey as well.
