Some of you (Memmey) are managing to post larger pictures within your posts - - I am only able to upload thumbnail-sized photos. What exactly are you doing?

Also, Cottages and Bungalows Computer Gurus, I miss a feature that was available at our "old home" - - we had the capacity to copy and paste images directly into threads. This was specifically fabulous because we had a "Help Me Find" category.

So, for example, I could upload a picture of my kitchen. Then, I could copy and paste swatches of wallpaper, pictures of curtains, and even add a link to an e-bay sale item. We did a lot of "home decorating" this way and while we had some vehement debates, we also promoted a lot of "retailers" so to speak.

Back in the day, I received a private message from a young start-up offering me a discount because I talked about their product and posted it in this manner. We all, in good faith, mentioned where the pictures came from so there was not any innuendo that we "took" the pictures, but I miss that ability. Can we add that feature? Do I have the ability to do this and I just do not have my settings loaded correctly?

Thanks for any feedback. I just want to share as I decorate, rehab, research, and revamp my cottage - - this is a great way to give and get feedback from people I trust.

Sincerely,

Jenny

I'm especially interested in this particular question, too. Hmmm....

jenn -
glad you asked this because i am running into the same issue. also - i used to have my threads go from most current to original post. i can't seem to do that on this site - always starts with the first posting and then goes to the most recent. what am i doing wrong??

I'll have to play around with this myself-but I'm wondering if it has something to do-because you add it as an attachment. My computer has a photo program that allows me to "size" the photo i.e. email size, web size, etc...

Could this be it? Any computer wizards out there? ;)

I'm definitely NOT a computer expert, but I've found that the photos always show up when I use Photobucket. I don't know about other photo hosting services since I haven't used them, but I do know that Photobucket works. I just upload the pics from my computer onto my Photobucket account, and then I'm able to copy & paste the "IMG" code from there directly into my posts.

Here is a link that might help:http://tutorials.photobucket.com/tutorial_151.html

If you look at step #3, you will see that you simply need to mouse over the photo you want to share, and click the "IMG Code" box and it will automatically copy the code. Then, you simply paste it into your thread or post.
