Got my catalog from Burpees and tempted to order some plants from them even though I'm boycotting them for crappy seeds we've ordered from them not once but twice. Anyway they have these cool colored tomatoes that I think would just be a hoot to have in my backyard. They are raspberry colored! There are also some white cherry tomatoes that would just be awesome next to the raspberry ones. I may break down and do it but still contemplating....
I've of course already forgot what I ordered from another company. :o

lol - sounds like me when I order stuff. I get home to a package and I'm thinking now what is that? lol.
I don't have the slightest clue what kind of seeds to get or anything. We are planning on having a garden and have gotten so far as to buy chicken wire to keep the rabbits out but there's nothing on the ground yet. Last year we bought watermelon seeds at Home Depot and they worked great. I figure we'll go buy more seeds at the store this year.

Usually we have the pumpkins and the tomatoes in the same plot but that gets so out of control with pumpkins going everywhere and the tomatoes getting mixed up with the pumpkins that I think this year I'm going to try them elsewhere in the yard. My ultimate plan is to build some raised bed boxes on the side of the house along with other veggies. going to make my dogs really mad at me for putting the 'maters up. :p:rolleyes:

Hi Chyna! I was just wondering how long your growing season is in MT? We're not sure if we're going to try tomatoes again this year. The few we finally got were not ready for picking till mid-September. Hopefully we'll have a little more sun this summer!

Our season last year was horrible!!! Most of the people I talked to from around the area all said they had a bad year so maybe the same went for you folks over there.
I'm zone 4/5, can't really put anything in until mid/late May and if lucky we're good until say mid-October. I would love ot have a greenhouse so that I could extend my growing season here, most the time stuff is just getting nice and full and then wham frost. :(
