I am so so sorry for disappearing for a while. :o
As you know it is Spring here and my yard is a mess, I also have been trying to regain my fitness so I'm going to the gym. NOW I find that I have little time to do anything else. I need to get into better shape to tackle all things I need to do around here. I have to push mow almost an acre :(.
I got up this morning at 3:50 so I wanted to check here and tell you that I miss you all and I have not forgotten my gift to Zu for her new house and GiGi seashells. I haven't even called Maria( DIva), I am a crumby friend.

Really the yard work and the gym and the beauty shop and poor little Poppa( he's been in the hospital) have stretched me thin. Actually not thin phyiscally...LOL but thin on time.
Once I get the yard in shape....finnish raking and trimming and hauling it off then I should be back on track. Rosemary, Lisa and Kim came looking for me. I love you all and I am not quitting this glorious place, I just have a small window of opportunity to get the yard done because when the heat comes here it will be horrible.
I'm gonna try to stay up one night and read all the threads to catch up. I still miss you all.
I"LL BE BACK with a ton of stories. BTW my Sister is trying to buy the house behind me. I'll be back to tell you all about everything....Love all of you:) Mem

Thank you so much for checking in with us...we all missed you!
I know sometimes when there's a lot going on, it drains us emotionally, and I'm guilty of sometimes not looking in on C & B too at those times. But when I do settle down for a few minutes and read some posts, it lets me get away from my own problems for a little while.

Anyway, a hug to Poppa, and I hope he's okay now. Kudos to you for joining the gym AND working on your yard. I'll be interested to hear more about your sister possibly buying the house near you. I may be getting a different house too...but that's for another time.

Hey there, toots! I was about to send my other LA bud (that's Linda, for those of you that don't know) looking for you!
As some of you may know, Mem and I have actually spent time together on my trips to Louisiana. I ADORE her!!! You "meet" people on this site and then if you are lucky enough to meet them in real life, they are better than you expect! I think it is safe to say, we are now life long buds!
We were both *itching about weight last month when we saw each other and while I haven't joined the gym yet, I am walking an average of 3.5 miles a day. The gym is next!

Mem, I'll be back in September and we'll both be skinny then!! What we have all learned on this site is that we truly care about one another and even if we never meet face -to-face, we are great friends.

I am glad you checked in Memmy!!!! I know how it is......I am heading into a busy time for the next month or so.

Get-in-shape is also on my list. I started yoga. It is excellent strength building for me. I am also trying to walk more too. It is so easy to come home and not do anything!! Last night it was late and dark but I grabbed my husband and we went for a 2 mile walk around a lake here in town. I need more of that.

Hi memmey!!! It did my heart good to click on here and see that you had posted:)!! I know that sometimes it is just hard to juggle everything and keep it all going.

I haven't been on here to comment much, either. I've got lots of projects going and sometimes don't have much time to drop in and 'talk'. But everyone on here is really the best and I always look forward to reading what everyone is up to:).

Oh, I sure hope your sister gets that house!

Memmey!!!! We've been missin' you! I was wondering if you were busy taking care of your sweet Poppa. I hope he is doing better.

You are my inspiration! My hero!!! I have been saying for weeks that I need to get back to doing some daily exercise. I'm going to start doing my yoga again. Slowly, because things don't bend too well anymore. :rolleyes: You lead the way, and we'll be right behind you, huffing and puffing our way to better health!

Hey there, girl! I'm glad to hear from you. I've been unpleasantly busy and away from the boards lately too. We'll all catch up soon, I'm sure. My big fundraiser is over in two weeks and I'll feel more human then. Lots of news on our lake house and pictures to share. Missing you all and looking forward to a LONG visit!

We (I) even mentioned kudzu and figured you'd jump in on that one. That is when we really knew you were MIA, don't know about anyone else but figured you of all people would know how ot kill off ivy. :p
