I listened to holiday songs while putting up the decorations - made it more festive. I love all the holiday songs esp O Holy Night and What Child Is This plus Sleighride, Silver Bells, Winter Wonderland & Let It Snow etc. I also love a big mug of eggnog to keep the energy up while decorating.:)
What are some of your favorite holiday tunes?

I adore Christmas music and I have to listen to it while I'm decorating! My favorite song is "O Holy Night". I also love "Do You Hear What I Hear?", "I Wonder As I Wander" and "Christmas At Our House".
Red wine does wonders for keeping my energy up while decorating. :D

I love the songs from A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Baby it's Cold Outside (Doris Day and Bing Crosby), The Little Drummer Boy (Harry Conick Jr) and Santa Baby (Eartha Kit).
Honestly, I could just listen to church bells. Christmas music is the best!

Apparently one of our local radio stations agrees with you, Lisa. They've been playing Christmas music 24/7 since Halloween.

That movie was on tv this afternoon:)
My all time favorite is "Meet Me in St.Louis" with Judy Garland. Remember the song "Have yourself a merry little Christmas"?

I have Christmas music in my car right now. I got a bunch of CDs from a used music store, and have been enjoying in particular some Celtic-styled Christmas music-- traditional tunes done in a... well, almost sea shanty way. Filled with Irish pennywhistles, pipes, accordions, etc. Very upbeat, haunting and a bit different. I'm enjoying it a lot.
I've also got Charlie Brown's jazz in the car, The Grinch, and Ella Fitzgerald.
It helps mix it up because, frankly, if I hear "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Theresa Brewer one more time, I might crack. :)

My son was asking me if I wanted any music for Christmas and I was telling him that I have a new affinity for Celtic music. Would you recommend something?

And Lisa, if you can find Loreena McKennit's Christmas music, you may really like that, as well. She's a Canadian singer with a marvelous voice that does some terrific renditions of Celtic Christmas songs.

One of my favorites is On Christmas Night by Cherish The Ladies. I also like their other non-Christmas music.
