How not to sew window treatments

For Mac78 who said she was looking in consignment shops for valences.
I was doing that too but couldn't find what I wanted so I used placemats, napkins and fabric glue to make these.

I used some old hand kerchiefs for a valance in my kitchen and am quite pleased with the effect. I've seen some examples of placemats, towels, etc used for curtains and they are so cute! :)

Nice job, I like those. The valance I found was white with embroidered edges and was $4. I only have 1 window.

You can also use hem tape (iron on) for things you don't want to sew. It's very easy to use.
