Just when is the rain and cold ever going to end. NW Ohio stinks right now. I want to get outside so bad. I have about 6 weeks to get my house in order and my flowers planted before Ashely's graduation party. Today it is in the 40's and raining.....at least till 6:00 pm. It was about the same yesterday. The weekend was sunny, but windy and chilly, low 50's. Some days I wonder why the heck I chose to live in NW Ohio....I just want to be where it is warm most of the time, and warm to me is above 50 with sunshine. I just want to turn off the heat and open the windows.
I went to Ashley's track meet on Saturday, it was so cold. It was below freezing when we left in the morning. It was windy and very chilly till the middle of the afternoon. We were wrapped in blankets the whole time and just sat and shivered. I ended up sitting in the car for a while during the break. They are to have another meet today, but hopefully it will be cancelled.
I so want to get out and dig in the dirt and redo my mulch. Come on Spring where are YOU!

Seems like winter just doesn't want to let go. Like you all I'm eager for warm weather so I can sit on the porch and read or just watch the world go by.
We had a long cold winter here and even though the grass is green and flowers and blossoms are out it's still on the chilly side. I guess the flip side of all the rain is that everything will be nice and green and lush which is wonderful now if we can just turn up the heat.:)

We had sunshine today, but it was still coolish. It really does seem like winter doesn't want to let go. I figure this is one of those years that we'll go straight from winter into summer:(. One day it's 50, the next day 95:eek:. It seems to happen that way here quite often.

Never - where are you located? We have no spring in Wisconsin, generally. Our spring is usually cold and damp with rare days of sun and warm (anything over 45) weather. The last few years the heat has been on until Memorial Day - seriously. Then all of a sudden, it's warm. No gradual heating up - just like that summer.
We have a lllooonnnnggg stretch of winter, pretty great summers (though we do have high humidity) and beautiful falls - my favorite season. As I have said many times (and more than a few on this site), I'd like to live somewhere that fall weather is half the year and then 2 months of each of the other seasons. Instead I live somewhere that winter is half the year.

Would that be Liar Mcgwyer? Half the time I just ignore what he says is coming our way. he lost all his credibility when he kept going on and on about the storm of the century heading our way last year and we got a grand total of say 1" and then the storm he says will be light we got dumped on hard.
You all down there have been hit hard more times than not though. Blows my mind when they say inches and inches have fallen in WY and Hardin and here we're sitting with a skiff in the Billings area. Surreal as all get out, but then again if amazes me when there is less snow in Billings then Laurel and we're just what 15miles away? If not less.
It is snowing today, rained yesterday and now we will get snow for the next 3 or so days with spring this weekend. No wonder my sinus' are in protest, the weather is just so wacky!

Spring does seem to be slow this year. But then I think back and realize that spring is slow every year. I'm just happy the rain stopped, if only for a few days. It will start again next week.
I hope the soil warms up too.

It's been alternating between absolutely stunning spring and rainy coldish here. Right now we are in the middle of a sunny stretch and it's fabulous. Y'all should move south!!!

Can I get something cheap in your neighborhood? Maybe you need us living along side of you to get rid of the other "neighbors" :D
I'm looking for empty boxes now!!

Our neighbor's 2-2 is listed for 189 right now. Y'all should move to my hood while it's still cheap! Athens is a great town...
