The first day of spring is March 20. Is anyone interested in a spring swap this year? I'll organize it if you're interested. Ten dollar maximum, not including postage, and you contact your swap buddy privately to exchange information about preferred colors or themes and mailing addresses. When you get your box, you have to take pictures and post them here to let the rest of us ooh and aah over your goodies. Let's strive to have packages arrive by March 20. Any takers?

LOL. Well, you might not notice the difference because it's still cold here. We have cool, wet springs, and spring sometimes lasts well into July before we finally get anything you could actually call heat. Actually, your weather would probably look like an improvement here, so maybe a swap wouldn't be such a bad thing. At least not for me. :)

I can't see the last message I sent to the forum regarding the spring swap, so it's either gone or attached to another thread by accident. So let's do it this way: we'll wait through today, Sunday, to see if anyone else wants to be part of the swap. Kind of sad that we have only three people this time around! So if you want to be part of this, please sign up by the end of the day today, and tomorrow I'll make the assignments. Thanks.

Okay, our deadline has come and gone, and it looks like we three are it for the spring swap this year. So Koolmimi, I'll buy for you, you buy for Marie, and Marie can buy for me. We can exchange addresses and all that via private messages. Thanks for agreeing to be part of the fun! Let me know if you have any questions.

Sorry I did not respond earlier, but have been on Jury Duty, also crazy busy at work with accreditation. I simply did not see the post. Would have loved to participate. Have fun guys. Will join you next go around:)

I can still plug you in if you're interested. How about if I buy for Koolmimi, she buys for Marie, Marie buys for you, and you buy for me.

Thanks! I'm behind, as usual. I was going to send my package out to Koolmimi today, but it may end up being tomorrow. Where does the time go?

Well, spring just started, and the deadline was arbitrary anyway, so don't worry. This is supposed to be fun and not stressful for the givers or the receivers, so if you're running a few days behind, it's not a big deal. I've got to find the right size box, then I'm good to go.

I received my spring swap box from Vintage Girl on Thursday but didn't have time to open it until last night. What a delightful package! I'm now equipped to go out in the garden with my new gloves and clippers, to cook with my new egg-shaped timer, spring dish towels, and beautiful hot pads, and to decorate my mantel for fall with a gorgeous pink dish decorated with birds. Thank you, Vintage Girl. I love it all! In fact, I love it so much, I went out and bought myself a new camera so I could take a picture of it! Here it is!
I finally got my swap box mailed off on Friday, Koolmimi, so you should receive it by the end of next week!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the package of note cards packaged in a lovely net bag. I like their retro vibe!

I am so happy that you enjoyed it. I loved the polka dot pot holder so much, that I got one for me too:D The plate was found at the last minute, tucked under a ton of stuff on the shelf. I saw a corner peeking out and dug it out. It was a definate find. The colors are so soft and pretty. Enjoy it and think of spring:)

Thank You Koolmini......I received your swap gift. A very pretty sun catcher, to which my hubby took out and hung on the front porch. I will take a picture of it tomorrow hanging up. I loved the coastal colors of blues/greens. And the gardening gloves..I am always looking for a pair....Thanks so much. :)

Thanks Shabby for the cool spring gifts. I've already read the cookbook and marked the recipes I want to try. Love the teaset box. My granddaughter has a collection of tea sets, but this one is for me. How amazing that you also sent an old postcard. I collect them too and didn't even mention it. The lilac candle will look and smell great in my purple bathroom.

Koolmimi,
I'm glad your box arrived safely and that you liked the contents! I thought the tea set was just too cute to pass up. And I'm so glad you liked the old postcard. I thought the picture was lovely, and it was just neat to have someone's handwritten note on the back of it. Enjoy!

I just received my swap box last night from Marie:) I will take a photo of all that was in it tonight. I was just overwhelmed!! Marie you sent me such lovely items. I had a bad day yesterday and when I got home and your package had arrived, it really made me feel so special. Thank you so so much. There was so much, that I can't remember it all, but will give it a try:
Adorable gardening gloves
Snapdragon seeds
Darling bird/garden ornament
Chocolate bunny :D
Kitchen towels
Wonderful wonderful vintage tea towel which I am going to use as a table
runner
Lovely Easter greeting card
Everything was also individually wrapped and it was so much fun to open all the goodies.
I hope I have not forgotten anything! I will take pics tonight and post it tomorrow morning:)
