The sun is finally shining,,,,it has been 4 days here with rain. It is supposed to be in the 60's here in NW Ohio. My daycare kids still can't go out though because it is way too wet. Another day inside. Hope you all have a great Friday and I hope the sun stay out for a few hours.

Hope you get some sunshine, Marie! Like Linn, we're having lots of rain. My hubby managed to mow before it all started, so maybe the grass won't be too tall when it's over. It's been growing fast!!!

It's supposed to be in the 70's here today, but we had and will have temps in the high 50's. Come on summer! I'm already feeling the pull of the backyard and lazy days.

I DO miss the humidity! It's so sexy and it brings out the smell of the honeysuckle. Oh, and lightning bugs!

12:30 and the sky is blue and it is very nice outside. Hubby came home from work to mow (took 1/2 day vacation), he doesn't understand that daycare kids can't nap when he mows.....

Louanne - I can see San Juan Island from my house! I LOVE going to Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor too on my boat. It's great they saved the ferry from Sidney to Friday Harbor (and beyond) too.

Cheers's to Herb's Tavern!!!!!!

We had a beautiful, warm day in Puget Sound today (at last). It's been warmer in the mornings when I leave at 4:45 a.m. for my daily walk and getting light by the time I'm out the door. The birds are already out singing, and yesterday I saw a little bunny hopping around on someone's lawn. I went to a plant sale at a local high school today and bought a bunch of herbs, lettuce, and tomato plants for the container gardens we're doing with a couple of classes at school. Tomorrow I have to get the containers. I got myself some lettuce, too, and a couple of lovely coleus plants. Now if I just had time to get out into the yard and actually plant the darn things. Here's hoping the rain promised for tomorrow doesn't actually arrive.

I was woken up early this morning by a beautiful 'free' concert given by the B'y'rd's:) Can't think of a better way to start the day! Yesterday was so pretty here in the PNW - reminds us all why we live here! Dh and I went beach combing and came home with a bucket full of beach glass! But the find of the day was a totally intact tiny Bayer Aspirin bottle. Looks like it has been 'tumbling' in the waters for a very long time. Thought I'd look up to see if I could find some info on Bayer and if they're still using the glass bottles or if not when they quit. We also found about 8 pieces of a citron (I think is the right word, kinda greenish yellow?) glass - not seen that color before - great day!

The slow steady sound of rain on the tin roof was our morning alarm. I don't guess we'll do much outside today, other than sit on the porch swing:).

Danske, let us know what you find out about your bottle. I love finding the colored ones, but most we find are broken.
