I got the bench for out back as it is white and the back yard is just done in green and white. I got the birdhouse- I love them when they have all the architectural stuff on them..gonna put it on top of a nice post. The tea cup is just one piece of a whole set for 8 for $35 - yeah cheap. Gonna make lots of bird feeders and bird baths out of them to sell - thanks for the idea gigi. And the cabinet- well I have been looking for one for the master bath..it is too wide but at only $80 it was a steal so we are going to add shelves and make it the linen closet in the hall. Love it. I also got a table built out of old wood and beadboard but hubby has to sturdy up the legs.

Is cameron day like a garage sale?

Cameron Day is held the first monday of May and October in a historic town in NC. The town is like maybe 5 blocks long with the main street in the middle. The homeowners rent out booth spaces on their lawns to antique dealers and food vendors. Not a yard sale as it is more antique oriented and some crafts. It is like over 500 vendors and over 20,000 people come through. My sister lives there in a cottge that is over 100 years old. I'll find some pics and post them later of her house...

Oh, I love everything you bought! Sounds like it must have been a great shopping trip! I assume that cabinet is mirrored and that you didn't actually stuff a kid inside it, lol.

Shabbychick-

Too funny. That is the neighbor boy and believe me there are times I'd like to stuff him in something :)

My sister had a couple pictures of the neighbors vendors this year at the Cameron day sale..figured I'd show you.

This one is a great guy - a bit overpriced - okay very overpriced but good to steal ideas from :) I really wanted the red wheelbarrow but at $450 I don't think my kids wanted to eat Ramen soup for a month :)

If someone would be willing to drive, come on over to Oregon. We'll hitch up my '67 trailer and garage sale across country. I'll pack the foold and cook!

Lisa, maybe we should all plan to do the longest yardsale one year...we could pull your trailer to sleep in and then another person pull a uhaul trailer to load up on goodies.

cheapdiva - it is held the first saturday of may and october. The spring one is okay but the fall one is the one to die for..lots of holiday stuff - fall colors etc...wow I am wishing it was october already.
Anyone is invited anytime..just let me know and you can drive in or I'll pick you up at Raleigh-Durham airport :)

seriously, we discussed doing a get together when were at the CL forum - maybe we should start planning to do this next spring. That gives everyone time to plan (save!) and find flights and hotels. Anyone besides Lisa and me up for this???
Yarb - look what you started!!!

Come on over! Spring in Oregon can be tricky, but anytime after late June can be lovely. If you guys want to come, I'd love to set it up. We can stay here, at the lake or get a fabulous hotel or b and b downtown.

Are we talking a year from now? Anytime is fine!
