Which cottage books is everyone reading?

The Not So Big House and Creating the Not So Big House. (Sarah Susanka) I don't like the overwrought houses that the architects build, but the ideas are good.
Storybook Style, Douglas Kiester.
Tudor Style, Lee Goff. The houses are kind of big, but I love the style.
Garden Style (Better Homes and Gardens).

I've been looking for books on small cottage style, but all the "cottage" books are for big cookie cutter cottages, and the all the "small" home books are minimalist boxes like sheds and icehouses. There is very little out there.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Your taste in books seems very similar to mine. I have all of the Not So Big books ~ I'm a big fan of the premise of building with better quality than bigger.

I just looked through my bookcases and I can't find the one book I wanted to recommend. Darn! I love it because it shows messy kids rooms that still look cute.

Book? No. They are pretty to look at, but not very helpful.

I found the web way more helpful than any book. We solved many of our building questions by querying the net.

I spent hours at this site (http://www.countryplans.com/) before jumping in and designing our house. The forum had some very knowledgeable participants.

I liked their combination projects, like this one (http://www.countryplans.com/vc.html). You decide how much home you need and then "connect" the home pieces like legos.

EDITED: The Katrina cottages have that same build-small-add-on-later concept. I think Lowe's carries the plans.
