Anyone within 3 hours of NW ohio?

Just wondering if anyone is located within 3 hours of the corner of NW Ohio?
I am in a little town called Bryan located about 12 miles south of the turnpike near the Ohio/Indiana/Michigan lines.

Has anyone ever heard of Shipshawana, Indiana? It is an Amish town with lots of neat shops, buggy rides, etc.

Nope. But my brother, who lives in Iowa, mentions Amana and Kalona once in a while. Both are Amish. Closer to my area (although still about 4 hrs. away) is Lancaster, PA. I've been there a few times.

I know about the Amana Colonies in Iowa and my husband has been there for business but I haven't ventured that way.

I wish there was a way we could have a running list of where everyone lived. You know, midwest, south, northeast, northwest, etc. Then you'd know who was in your area or who to visit when you are traveling. Many of us have it listed on "location" but some don't. And some aren't very specific. If you say "Wisconsin" that doesn't mean you're close to me - Chicago (a little over an hour) is closer than even my last Wisconsin city - Appleton (2 hours).

so if you're game, tell us where you are. Me, Milwaukee, WI.

Perhaps Clev could add a Guest Map to C&B. I've seen/used this in another forum. It looks like this (http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/guestmap/). You "pin" a cartoon image of yourself on the map w/ your username and location.

You made me laugh. I have never been to the northwest but someday want to take a road trip there. The farthest NW I have been is Mt. Rushmore/Badlands.

Mac78, How about 5hrs & 59min, 329.9 mi. My daughter & family live in Fort Wayne, Ind. They have been to Shipshawana. My daughter says it's a great place to visit. We must drive by Bryan exit, when we go out to see them. Have you ever been to western new york ?

I am 1 hour from Ft. Wayne and about 1 hr 15 min from Shipshewana. I have been to Buffalo...actually Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Hmm, anyplace inbetween we could meet up for a weekend. I am just off the toll road. I am game for driving 2 or 3 hours to meet and shop.
