Ok ladies, I need help. Right now I am one of the most unorganized people on earth. Between graduation party stuff, college paperwork, mail, and just plain old stuff......my table has diasappeared.....Can you help me find it?
I have a walk-in storage closet in my dining room,,,,,and the shelf collapsed and everything landed on the floor. Gosh, I just can't get things together around here, get one mess cleaned up and another arises. Did I mention.....too much junk?

Oh, that's not too bad! Take a deep breath.....
Also, I like your tablecloth. I was trying to find kitchen curtains like that - oh well...

Can you SEE the tablecloth????? I bought that at the consignment shop for $5. I did work on it this morning......sorting thru mail, kids paperwork, and my graduation stuff is a little more organized......does seeing 2/3 of the table count.

Hey Marie,
Mine looks just as bad if not worse. That tablecloth is the one that target used to carry..Not sure if they still carry the line but the fabric is Waverly Norfolk Rose. I have chair covers and 2 ballon cutains of that.
I figure the messes will eventually get cleaned up or overtake us and then who cares :)

Our kitchen island looked the same way yesterday, but I had to clean it b/c I had a client coming to drop off a dog for a board and train!! Nothing like visitors to motivate you...

Okay Marie,
I went and took pics to prove to you that mine is just as bad like I said.
Here is the dining room table. Had to move everything to paint and well haven't put it all back and have added a bit to it. :)

The next pic is of my craft table in the craft room - can't even get to the table to craft.

And this last one is of my kids craft table- so obviously it is a genetic thing :)

You're in good company, Marie~mine is just as bad, too. Right now, there is a stack of old curtains to take to the Goodwill (bad quality, but maybe somebody will want them), a fruit jar with some lilies in it, a box of wheat crackers, as spray bottle of water that my daughter used to spritz a cat climbing the window screen, and a couple of empty vases I need to put somewhere:o. The way it looks right now, I figure that company's bound to be comin':o!

Oh jeesh Target does not ship to Canada. Too bad I LOVE that print.
They don't seem to carry it anyways but surfing on their website they have Simply Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell - have you seen this line? I wish I could go shopping there....... I already have my shopping list!

Funny but the whole reason my kitchen is a disaster is that I hung some shelves on that wall plus finished painting the room too. :p Like I say, you have to make a mess in order to get anythng accomplished. I don't necessarily believe that but it makes me feel better. :o

Okay, the only thing I actually saw was the neat furniture in the counter. I like the detail in the woodwork of that little piece ... I think the sadder thing would be to have a big empty dining room to be honest.
Bye,

Heather - there is alot of the target items in that print on ebay..I got some there. Also, if you just want the fabric to make stuff yourself it is waverly - norfolk rose in crimson.
Other wise let us know exactly what you are looking for and if we see it we can let you know - I can ship to Canada.
Also, the shabby chic line by rachel ashwell is very pretty..very white and girlie. It actually is the only shabby chic by her out there as she declared bankruptcy and closed most stores..but target will continue to carry her stuff.

Don't feel bad; most surfaces in my place are usually covered with stuff. Then there's my desk at work that just seems to have things breeding on it. I have to spend the next two weeks trying to get things back in order in my school library for the summer...packing away decorations, uncluttering my desk, throwing away all those catalogs that book vendors and publishers keep sending me that I think I'll look at but don't. Egad. But the way I try to look at it is that a home that doesn't have some clutter isn't really lived in. It'd be nice if we all had the time to put everything in its place as soon as we're done with it, but who really has a life that works like that? It's drop one project and hurry off to another for most of us, with cleanup time relegated to occasional free weekends. Here's an idea: use the tablecloth to cover what's on the table instead of putting it underneath it all. Tell anyone who asks that you're hiding gifts under the cloth, and if they peek, they'll just ruin the surprise. :) And you'll be able to see the tablecloth better that way.

I keep trying to keep the dining table clear since we no longer have any countertops in the kitchen and the table has to act in their place! I haven't had any time lately to do much other than check in her quickly a few times a week. In addition to the kitchen/bath/laundry room remodel, my oldest son is getting married on the 13th. Yes, I'm crazy - it's a well known fact.
So I hope to get some photos this weekend of our project. So all of you - don't feel bad if you can't find the table - I'm living with plastic shelving in the dining room, drywall stacked against the dining room window wall (thus making it impossible to open windows) and messes everywhere!!!:D

Tammy that was very nice of you to offer to ship me stuff, thank you. I looked it up on EBay and there were lot's of different items n that pattern - ironing board cover, light switch covers, bedding, etc. I'm not going to get any of it though I'm just going over to Maries and after I dig her out of her dining room, I'm going to snatch her tablecloth and run.

Shabbychick and Heather....you are too funny. Heather, come on over, I can always use some motivation....unless you are Houdini,,,,,can you pull a tablecloth off while everything stays on the table. lol
I can clear it off and it is back to a mess in less than 24 hours. I am putting all the graduation party food on it now. At least the mail is sorted out.
