We just received an email with pictures of our lake. If you're not up there now, you can't get there for awhile ~ most roads are closed. No progress on the home building this week. It sure is beautiful up there. I can't wait to have a roof!

I am so jealous....it is so beuatiful it looks staged. Isn't Mother Nature the best decorator of all. Pristine and fresh. Lisa that is gonna be heaven to be there.
Ok Ok if you come here I will for sure show you a REAL alligator I can say for sure I can show you way more than one and they won't be anywhere near a zoo. But not to knock the area I can show you spectacular plantations and gorgeous old live oaks with spanish moss. BUT no snow cher.:p

Live oaks and old plantations are right up my alley. 'Gators, not so much! I'd love to visit your area. Someday... will you give me a tour of Memmey's Famous Red House? Come here and I'll give you snow and some really good beer!

Beautiful Lisa!! And, it looks very cold. I'll take a picture here tomorrow. I have 7 inches and more to come.......I am loving it....but sorry for anyone that has miles to travel. We are supposed to get more snow tommorrow.

Whidbey5, what is it like in your area?

Tomorrow it will be hot cocoa and snow angels!!!

Lisa, what a beautiful picture! Makes me wish I lived in a forest covered with snow. Wait a minute...

So where is the house project? Walls framed? Time for trusses?

Ha! You're so funny!

The lake place is in Oregon's coast mountain range just south of Astoria.

I just woke up and see that we have about another 3 inches on the ground here at our house in town. Very pretty!

Gorgeous photo Lisa! Thanks for sharing! We are very cold and dry here. I heard that someone rented a snow machine like the ski resorts have and put snow down all over their yard. It's so cold it stayed in tact. I'm sure the neighbors will really love all the water runoff when it melts!

anyway, i'm a little behind or oblivious... i didn't know you were building a house! how wonderful and at such a beautiful place! Congratulations!

Thanks! The structure itself is nothing to write home about. I wish it were going to be charming, but it's your basic new house. The location is great though, and I hope to build a lot of memories with family and friends there.

Evelyn, we're in Southern California right now, so the weather is great!

I did e-mail our neighbor and we have 24 inches of snow as of yesterday. I don't remember this much snow since I was a little kid!

Beautiful picture Lisa!
