I've been MIA around here, but my life is more crazy than usual. We've been working on the lake house and finally the end is in sight. I think we might be completely finished for the 4th of July weekend. Maybe...

Here are some pictures:

The first picture is of the breezeway. The house colors are a bit weird and will either look awesome or awful... I don't know which. The base color of the house is a Hershey Bar Brown (my name for it!). The trim will be grey with blue tones. The roof has both of these colors and I think it will look nice...

The second picture is of the living room with the drywall up. Such a difference!

I noticed that you've been a little quiet lately, and hoped it was because you were busy with the house.

Yep. The colors will really look great, Lisa!

The drywall makes such a tremendous difference - feels like it is soooo close to being done!

Good Morning Everyone, :)

Lisa, the house is coming along wonderfully. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I myself have been MIA from the group. I have missed talking with everyone. We are trying to finish painting the back exterior of the house, and lay down the slate on the front steps. This years weather is a repeat of last years. Rain, rain, and more rain. :( By the time we get this house finished, we will be both in wheel chairs and collecting social security. :D

I hope everyone is safe and well. I look forward to playing catch~up. Have a great day!

Big Hugs,
Linda :)

Hi Lisa, :)

I am happy to be back. I will have to have one of our kids take pics, and post them for me. I don`t know how. I don`t use the PC. I use the Webtv and it isn`t capable of doing that. We have done so much work to this place.

Hubby got me a weeping cherry tree for mother`s day. I have been wanting one forever.

Have a great day today!

Big Hugs,
Linda :)

Thank you Cheap Diva. I have missed all of you.
I was suffering from serious Cottage & Bungalow withdrawals while I was away. :D Things around here have calmed down a little bit. For now any way. Knock on wood. (tapping my forehead) ;)

I love your signature. I agree... nothing beats cheap, except when it`s free. :D You all are the best! Have a wonderful day.

Big Hugs,
Linda :)

Hi Lynzee, thank you for the ``Welcome back.`` Today is my day off. Ask me what I had accomplished today? Nothing. LOL! I figured to heck with the house, the dust and laundry can wait. I have been reading all of the posts and catching up. Being here feels like my home~away~from~home.

Hugs,
Linda :)

Nice to see you back, Linda:).

We will be at least that old by the time our place is finished. Hubby says it won't ever be completely finished and I pretty much agree with him.

Hi Rose Mary, :)

Thank you. I am so happy to be back here.

Now you know that you and your hubby are not the only ones unable to finish a house project. I hope when it is finally finished, I can remember what I was doing, and why. :D

Have a good evening.

Hugs,
Linda :)

I had mentioned to you all about some of the work I have been doing on the inside of my home. My biggest project has been the floors. I have torn up all the carpet in the house to uncover the original hardwood floors. The house was built in the 1920's and the floors have been under carpet for a very long time.
