Can we have an auction? For just us? Have whoever whats post a pic of something you made (and I know y'all are very talented!!!) and we can bid between us? Just craft items... not too big or expensive.

What do you think?

Auction - hmmm WELL HELL YEAH. I love me an auction. I can participate if we set a date maybe end of July or later as we are going on vacation and I'd need time to create once back...just post when it is and how to do it and I am in...woo hooo

Ok gals, maybe let's make it a vintage-one-of-a-kind auction then! Save the crafty auction for the fall/winter. When do you want to do it?

A suggestion . . .
we used to do a swap about 4 times a year at CL, including a fall and holiday one. How about planning for late October (that gives everyone time to prepare) and make it a holiday auction? I think it would be a great place to look for unique holiday items for our homes or as gifts.

Thoughts?

I was in the spring swap and it was fun to receive a surprise - this would be bidding on something that you would like...

Yeah, post a pic of something small and vintage and start bidding - from 50 cents up. We would have to calculate shipping too I guess.

I love the idea of getting something that nobody else here can get, something unique, something with a story.... I dunno it's just something fun to do!

Hey here at the beach..I'd like us to do a holiday swap and maybe do the auction for early fall - like fall stuff or halloween stuff. I think a swap would be nice for holiday time as then it would be more like presents.. :) Do you think we could do the auction as a fall thing? Just wondering. Also, what exactly vintage? A bit unsure on that front what that means?

My understanding is that "vintage" is al least 50 years old and "antique" is 100 years old.

Heather- I didn't mean we have to wait to do a fall one I just thought maybe we could do a fall auction. I am up for doing two..maybe we could do a vintage one now like you'd like and we could plan a fall one for later on.

Just a thought. I am game for whatever.
