Hi all!

Love the forum!

I just bought a dining table and chairs on CL. Got a great deal on it. It is off white, distressed. It needs a good cleaning. Does anyone have any ideas what is the best product to use on this so that it disinfects it yet doesn't scratch or take off the finish?

It has 6 chairs that have a checkered blue/white pattern and they are pretty stained, but I did test clean one with Resolve and it looks better for now. I will most likely do the others too. I have never re-upholstered chairs before so I need to do some research on that and then I will do that.

Thanks for any advice! I am not quite sure how to post pics yet, but when I figure that out, I will!:)

Hi gmatotwo~welcome to the forum!

I usually just use good old soap and water on that sort of thing, but you could use some special wood cleaner, too. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures once you get them on here.

To put pictures on~after you've typed out your post, scroll down to manage attachments and try it from there:).

Welcome:) I love craigslist. I swear I have furnished my entire house off of there;) With natural wood I normally use a wood cleaner with orange oil, but with painted surfaces, I normally just use soap and water or simple green. It sounds like your table and chairs are darling. I can hardly wait to see them.
