Didn't want y'all to think I had disappeared! We had an insanely hectic week followed by a week at the beach, so now I need you lovely ladies to boost me out of my post-vacation depression.:)

Hey, how was the beach? Are you fully rested?

We had a wonderful time! The weather was perfect and I'm very relaxed now to the point of being lazy. There was no cellphone service so I was forced to really take a vacation! Lots of sitting on the beach and swimming in the pool. The dogs had a blast, and I successfully avoided all marine sea life (no more sting ray stings!). We were vacationing with family, and spending a week with 5 children under the age of 6 was excellent birth control!

Welcome Back, CohenCottage! :D
Hey, you're not allowed to have a depression AFTER a vacation - Depression is just for those of us who don't get to go away at all!
I'm glad to hear you had a great time; just close your eyes and reflect on all the fun times you had...that'll get you out of your slump!

I know it isn't polite to complain, but it is SO hard to go back to work, and I kept wishing all day that I'd had a 'staycation' b/c we are never home for multiple days in a row. I'm closing my eyes and dreaming of the beach...the red wine is helping...

Welcome back. Yes, it is hard to get back to work after vacation. Take a few days at home and do nothing but the absolute necessary. Sounds like a great time at the beach though. East coast or west coast?

We went to Cape San Blas FL... it's on the Gulf in between Panama City and Apalachicola. Even in the 'high' season, it's very isolated and not crowded. No restaurants within 20 minutes and nobody on the beach. And no cell reception. We used to go there in grad school for ichthyology and marine biology field trips b/c there is a great state park at the end of the cape, and you have access to the bay and the ocean.

Cohen, that sounds like the perfect vacation! I would have wanted to stay, too. You really got away from everything~a break that we all need every once in a while. Glad you are back:)!
