I think I need to stop surfing the net...It makes me want to spend all my money!

I saw this product in a Domino magazine a couple of years ago and have always wanted to try it b/c I want the convenience of a screened front porch without having to have one year round and it looks like curtains...http://www.mosquitocurtains.com/

It would be about $380 to screen our front porch with the heavy duty netting and the tracking system. Do y'all know how much it is to screen a porch normally?

I've seen porches screened in by using old screen doors - one next to another to create the walls. I like this netting idea!

oh, this is great! I say - go for it! Let's say you use this screening for 10 years - that's $38 per year. Divide that by the number of days per year you use it and it is a BARGAIN!!!

I like the way you think Cheapdiva! We will probably wait until spring to do it unless we somehow plow through our other projects quickly. I checked out pricing for real screened porches, and they are way more $$...

i forgot two things on the list...stain all the interior pine doors and build new porch railings for the front/back porch. Also going to add a shed roof to the back porch.

Cohencottage---Actually your list looks like fun~ my husband and I have been doing home improvements for over 30 years and for those 30 years there wasn't a week without a project.

Great list! Having a party sure gets things going around a home! :)

Wow heck of a list!!! My hubs and I have been doing improvements ever since we moved into our house almost 20 years ago. We thought there was an end in sight, but no such luck:rolleyes: After we complete kitchen counters, and remove wallpaper and paint the master bedroom, it will be time to update the bathroom. I want to tear out the shower and put in a clawfoot tub, but hubs does not want to retile the floor, since we just did that a few years back. We are thinking of getting a liner to cover the tub and shower, and than put in a tin ceiling. The liner we will have done, but we can put in the ceiling. The last time we re-did the bathroom, we had it reglazed, but that only lasts for a few years and it is almost time to do it again. I know the liners are more expensive, but they supposedly last forever. Anyone here had that done and can tell me anything about it?
