okay - cabinets were installed yesterday. I am not sure what to do about hardware so please help. I will post photos of the cabinets (from the cabinet maker website) and the countertops.
I have several knobs/handle styles I am considering. The cabinets are white, there will beadboard (in apple green) on the walls - because we have very little wall space - 16" between counters and upper cabinets and 12" from cabinet tops to ceiling. Bought a beautiful white sink and am debating on faucet. so input please!
Oh, and yes, I got the plate rack and the spice drawers - love 'em!!!!

i can get the knob in a shiny metal to match the wavy handle or stick with the faint dark patina. I've even considered a deep bronze for handles and the faucet but don't think that it would look great with apple green.
C'mon ladies . . . suggestions needed. And the light fixture will be determined by the color of the knobs, handles and faucet.

I like the set in your second post, but any of them would probably work. I think with the apple green, the shinier the surface, the better. I'm not sure how well the patina finish would work with the apple green beadboard. You also mentioned getting a sink and white faucet. I replaced the old faucet on my white sink with a really nice white pull-out spray faucet by Moen. I bought it at Home Depot. The pull-out option has been really nice for me for rinsing dishes and watering plants. I like that the white surface of the faucet blends nicely with the sink and the white trim.
How fun it is to shop for cool things to enhance your home!

I like the ones you posted in your third post (except for the wavy one), but I tend to prefer clean lines over anything with any kind of a curly cue or detail.
Lovely! I prefer the first set BUT I think the upper cabinets and pull out need to coordinate i.e. lines, finish, etc... Is there a knob that coordinates with the first set?
I think the brush nickel would look wonderful and you'd be able to coordinate a faucet and lighting... and most of all it will be fun to see what you end up picking~ I'm sure it will look beautiful! :)

I prefer the first set pictured and also like brushed rather than shiny finishes. That would go for the faucet also. It sounds like your kitchen is going to be beautiful. I love the apple green beadboard idea. That will be so fresh and pretty with your cabinets and counter.:)

Wow you cabinets look just like mine. We went with brushed nickel on our faucet because it matched the stainless in the kitchen the most.
Hardware for me? Haven't decided yet. Probably going to go with either black or brushed nickel. I like knobs for doors and then bin pulls for drawers but also like others. I haven't even begun to think of hardware..
My lighting is easy - we will be installing beadboard ceiling painted white so gonna put a few recessed lights in then hang my antique schoolhouse lights over the island. I really didn't want to go with pot lights but didn't want it to be too busy or take away from the beadboard ceiling.
And gonna use white subway tile on backsplash...
dang - now you have me wondering about hardware :)

Cheapdiva - what are your appliances?

new stainless stove, otr micro and dishwasher - keeping the old white fridge for now. We are having the fridge "boxed in" and since the panels are white to match the cabinets, I figured I'd hold off on the fridge.
gigi - the first set is the knob and pull.
YH - tell me about the beadboard ceiling. I thought of that but the panels come in 8' sections - so don't you end up with a seam? Or are you buying actual beadboard in the lengths you need? I am considering a tin ceiling. Our ceiling is in pretty rough shape and I think it will be easier to cover over it than patch and plaster and paint. Keep up the suggestions ladies . . . if you see other hardware you think would work - feel free to post a photo.

We are not getting the 4x8 sections of beadboard paneling rather the strips that are actual tongue and groove. They come in various lengths. I also saw a lady on a blog that did hers with beadboard wallpaper- but that just scares me. I like the look of tin also but there is nothing else tin in my house...we'll see. I just want to start putting the cabinets in for gosh sakes.

CC - Thanks, I'll check out Lowes. And YH I JUST saw that beadboard wallpaper. I may do that cause I'm not sure how I would deal with 10+ feet of beadboard - how to get it home, how to install it. Right now all I want are my countertops (yes, I've moved on from wanting cabinets to counters now!!) so the sink can go in and the dishwasher installed. Really, when I can wash a friggin dish again in something other than a tub or bath sink I'll be THRILLED!:D

I'm leaning towards the ones that are curvy and twisty just because the apple green color just says funky to me. And artistic.:)
