Well, I feel my house is so far from cottage I always get frustrated and dont post :lol

My house is a new, traditional home and only temporary. So I like getting ideas for when we find a dream home someday (AKA dream remodel) or build a new old home.

Farmers Wife, who cares if it is not cottage. Please join in. I think cottage is in our hearts and not so much bricks and mortar.
We would love to visit with you.:)

Hi Farmerswife, :)

Happy to see you found your way here. Ahhhh, come on. No lurking. That`s no fun. Jump in and start talking with us. :)

Cottage is a style. I don`t believe there are any wrongs or rights, as long as you like what you are doing. It`s personal. I have a mix myself. Some of us have cabins, cottages, farm houses, etc.,. So join us. I love meeting new people.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Linda :)

Besides there are so many types of cottages and bungalows who's to say that there isn't a touch of cottage in your house. :) No lurking allowed, please talk to us.

Hi Chyna, :)

Yes I did. :D Memmey now has a stray cat that is calling her house home. I aso have my own zoo going. Sadly, we have lost a few last year and the year before. I had to stop doing rescueing for now. I am running out of room. Now you know why my hubby worries if we sell this place, and get a place with property. He tells everyone that he is my ``Stall Boy.`` LOL!

1~Belgian Horse
4~Dogs
2~Cats
1~Dove
2~Rabbits
2~Cockatiels
4~Love Birds, and now they have eggs.
An assortment of large Ornamental Gold Fish

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree. LOL! Just kidding about the Partridge.

But you've got the pear tree, right?

It must take you hours just to feed them all! We've got two dogs, three cats and four kids and I'm overwhelmed.

Hi Lisa, :)

It does take some time to feed and water them all. Cleaning takes even longer. Actually, we do have a pear tree. LOL! There are several at the property that we rent where we keep our horse.

We also have four kids, and we have a grand daughter. The two older daughters are on their own. But when everyone is here, it is a full house.

We had school cancellations again today, due to freezing rain and icy road conditions. Have a wonderful day today everyone!

Hugs,
Linda :)

Good Morning Everyone, :)

The only thing about having so many pets is, they get old and die. We are going to try selling our house in the spring. Hopefully the market will be better this year, then the last. Who ever buys this place will have their own pet cemetary. In the almost 20~yrs we have lived here, we have buried birds, bunnies, iguanas, gold fish, dogs, cats, squirrels, turtles, ferrets, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, and what ever else I may have forgotten. :) I hope this doesn`t turn into a Steven King movie once we move. LOL!

One of our horses, along with a couple of goats, chickens, and geese, are buried on the rental property that we have. The house that we own has a quarter acre, the property that we rent has 30~acres. The sad thing is, when we do move, all of our beloved animals through the years will be left behind. :(

Enjoy your day ladies.

Hugs,
Linda :)

Wow Linda you do have a zoo going on there!:)

RoseMary I love chickens - there are chicken pictures on my kitchen wall:)

We have one cat who thinks he's a VIP and we are all here to serve him so he can be a lot of work;)

Good Morning Linn, :)

Is that your little lord and ruler featured in your avatar? Cats do seem to have attitude more so than dogs do. Mine strut around here like they are king and queen. They aren`t hard to take care of. The male can be a pain sometimes. If you are walking around the house wearing a bath robe, he will run behind you and jump on to you, dangling from your robe. LOL! He has done this for almost 3~yrs now, and he is 20~lbs! (At last vet visit) The female is a petite little thing, and more reserved.

Enjoy your day!

Hugs,
Linda :)

We have now

4 dogs
1 puppy
2 cats
3 betta fish
1 cockatiel

If you think about it that is almost a circle of life right there or at least part of the Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. :D

Suppose technically I have one more dog and one more cat. One has intense jealousy over my dd and the other was in constant terror over the female cat we have. I've already declared that our next cat will be a boy, they seem so much more mellow. Or we got a psycho kitty.

Given my others I'd buy the house next door and have foster cresties lodged over there. About the only way I can see getting around the max # of animals my city has. Yes I'm already over the limit, oh well!!!:o

Hi Linda - no that's not my Henry but I love those kitty blue eyes!

You can see some pics of Henry in my photo albums. I understand about your cat and the robe thing - I can't walk barefoot thru here or the cat attacks my feet and it's only my feet he goes after for some strange reason.
He has to sleep with us usually on my feet & lower legs or he'll perch on my dh back when he's trying to sleep. Go figure :p
