Do you know what this is?

This was in our 1920's house when me moved in - it's made of fabric with 6 pockets and it was hanging in a cupboard in our kitchen right by the back door. I was wondering what it was used for!

It looks like some type of hanging organizer. Reminds me of the shoe organizers only much smaller. I have no idea really.

I agree w/ Marie - it's some kind of organizer, and it does look like a shoe hanger. How big is it? My grandmother made all kinds of fabric organizers - she even made some for our crayons. :)

It's only about 1.5 feet long, Zuzu. I'm thinking like Shabby it was for clothespins because it was right by the back door (no clothes line now though..). Thanks!

Whatever it is, it's pretty cute! You could put all sorts of things in there. It would be great in a closet too.

hmm....might be a good swap item!!!

I have the fabric shoe hangers on the back walls of all my closets - there are shoes in some, but they are great for organizing other stuff.....sunglasses, belts, scarves etc.

Don't know what it is. Though I doubt for clothespins as most of those old hangers were a big pouch with some sort of hook that would go over the line to slide along as you used it.
It is lovely fabric though and could be used in so many ways..

Hi ZuZu & everyone!

I have been peeking in but not posting. Summer has been lovely here in the NW & fall is promising to be more of the same. The nights are getting chilly and the leaves are starting to turn. We have been out and about a lot, camping and what not. Soon I need to start thinking about leaves on the ground and cleaning up the gardens!
