Officially DONE!

I'm done painting the house and garage! Enthusiasm died down in August sometime and it didn't look like the garage was going to get done but it BUGGED me that it didn't match the house. So now it's all done as of today (happy dance, happy dance) and wouldn't you know it the clouds rolled in and it's raining!

Hey thanks for all the kind words, gals!

You noticed my little brick collection, Lisa! They were all over the yard when we moved in - all different types, not sure how old they are either. I made some little pathways out of them in my herb garden and this one (in the picture) by my back steps because in the rain the grass would turn into a slippery mud pile.

ps - I took this pic today and it's MISERABLE out so it CAN look better than in this picture... you know!

I have a collection of bricks too. Some are from our chimney demolishion and some I've collected from the neighbors. Maybe next summer I'll build a patio.

Any new "small" projects coming up? Ha, they're never small are they?!

I think most of my projects both big and small are going to have to wait until summer break. I want to pull up the ugly square cement blocks in my small courtyard and replace them with pea gravel. The cement blocks just get so slimy and nasty during the winter, and then they're slippery. They never really come clean in my shady yard. I think having gravel down will also give me more choices for placement of my glider and the potted plants.

And I hope this is the summer that I finally get my garage under control.
