Hi MaryK,
Back issues of Cottages & Bungalows magazine are now available online. Here's the link:

The current issue is on newsstands at: Target, WalMart, Lowe's, Borders, CVS, Barnes & Noble, select grocery and drug stores and via direct dealers.
I hope this helps. Thanks for your interest in C&B!

Thanks Hillary,
I still adore the cover from the Summer 2007 magazine. I'm not sure my current cottage has the height to pull of that look; however, I really love it. I'm guessing that is cedar-shake siding with some colorful trim. I appreciate the link. I do not have any of the older magazines.
Thanks!

...and what a treat it is!
I have an appointment and am running out, but I had to take a quick flip through the pages - the 1878 farmhouse is so pretty, inside and out. The "old cottage floorplans" are really special, and so is the terrific kitchen remodel (LOVE the clock wall!).
I can't wait to return later and look at all the articles and photos that I haven't seen yet. I hope you all get your copies soon!
Great job, Hillary and C & B! :) ;) :D

Has anyone gotten the latest issue yet? I am absolutely in love with a shelving idea on page 37, which allows so many decorating possibilities! I am attaching a scan from the magazine, and it cut a little off the left side, but you can get the general idea.
I'm wondering how expensive it might be to have that type of shelving put in my living room...maybe if I eliminate the bottom cabinets and just do more shelving, it will lower the cost. I have the same type of archway...from that photo we'd be standing in my living room, looking into the dining room.

Picked mine up yesterday and have yet to look at it ..but i love shelving and that is beautiful. If you built it with mdf and then added trim it wouldn't be too expensive.

That's a good idea, Yarborough...Trim adds so much.
I really want to do that!
