Rosemary, Memmey and all else. How are all of you doing? any loss of property or did you all get missed? For all the natural disasters happening around the nation I'm wondering what is going to get us. Yellowstone better behave itself.:(

Hi Tanya, thank you for asking. We had a lot of high winds and storms, and some flooding, but no tornado in our own area. However, a lot of our family live in Vilonia, AR, where a tornado came through. Most didn't have much damage. One cousin had a tree fall on her house and they had to wait until someone came and cut up the tree to get out of there--but they are all safe.

Poor Alabama--they really took it hard. Do we have any members in AL? Seems like we had at least one--Lynzee (sp?) maybe?? TN was hard-hit, too. Jenny--let us know how you are.

Everything does seem crazy right now--earthquakes, tornadoes, sink holes, etc.

I have been wondering the same thing about our members that were in the path of these horrible storms!!! So sad to see all the devastation and loss of life. Has anyone heard from Memmey these days? She has not been on here in a year or more.

We were very fortunate that the only damage was a tree uprooted. It landed on our dog run fence and barely missed the house. My heart goes out to all the people who lost so much more.

Popping in to say hi. Really strange things going on with the board lately and sometimes, I can't get on. Heck, sometimes I can't even get here!

I wondered about everyone when the storms came through. Glad to know you are okay and had no damage, Rosemary! Hope the same is true for Ms. Memmey, Jenny and any of the others who live here in the south.

We are in South Alabama, so the storms were about 150 miles north of us. It took several days, but we finally heard from all of our family members and close friends. All are alive, though many lost everything. As we have learned the hard way here though, things can be replaced. We are just so thankful they were unharmed. The folks in unaffected areas of the state have rallied, as have folks from other states, and clean up crews, utility companies and trucks loaded with essential supplies are constantly enroute to the devastated areas, so rebuilding has begun...

So glad to hear you and your friends and loved ones are all safe, Lynzee. April was a rough month for the South. I hope May is a much calmer month!

What a relief to hear you are safe, Lynzee.
Our hearts and prayers go out to your family and all the folks hit by the recent events. Another reminder for me to make sure we have enough water, etc. for our earthquake supplies.

Happy to hear everyone is safe. Hilary, we have been updating our earthquake supplies also. We have to have a lot of supplies to take of our family, but also all of our animals (6 dogs, 200 plus pigeons, a dozen finches and budgies, and 6 parrots). I have extra water, and food for all the animals, and we are pretty set for ourselves also. The only thing I have to do is finish getting the supplies together for our cars. Lets hope that we never have to really use these supplies.

The south is turning out to be a rough place to live for certain!!! Tornadoes, flooding, fire and horrible storms. Hope everyone is still safe and sound. Seems like just as one thing happens something else comes along.

It's really sad along the rivers. Those people still have a long way to go until things get back to normal. Probably more will end up losing their homes from the flooding than from the tornadoes~hopefully most of them will be safe.

It really is sad along the rivers. :( So many have lost so much already...

The truly scary part is that hurricane season begins June 1. Though many are too far from the ocean to have to worry about a direct hit, they still run the risk of being hit by tropical storms as weakening hurricanes move over land.

Sure glad we don't have to worry about earthquakes too much!
