Hey ladies, Happy Halloween.
May you get spooked and eat tons of candy tonight. But most of all may you have fun. I love to just see the tiny kids and their excitement and their cool costumes.

I love Halloween, too. I still have to get out and get some candy, but I'm looking forward to carving my pumpkin and giving out the treats. Happy Halloween to you and yours!

Not too many trick-or-treaters come to our house in the remote woods, but we buy the candy "just in case". ;) Have a safe & happy Halloween, everyone!

Hope everyone had a wonderful, fun and safe Halloween. We do not have trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood, because of the horsetrail and all the homes are gated. The local churches have wonderful Harvest Festivals though. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the horseback riders ride by and had a fire in our outdoor firering. Weather was wonderful with a beautiful warm clear night with a full moon. :)

We went down to the beach this weekend, and my mom forgot to get candy. When our only two trick-or-treaters came by, we ended up giving them money instead!!! Isn't that funny?

I bet they were quite surprised...and loved it! :D
I saw so many manufactured costumes, and it brought me back to when I was little (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth), and costumes were homemade and simple. Well, even for my own kids, who grew up in the Eighties and early Nineties, I used to have a ball taking their ideas and whipping up costumes. Progress...

ChapterTwo, you aren't old...I'm in my thirties (yuck, I even hate typing that) and I've never had a store-bought costume!

I too always had a homemade costume. This year I dressed up at the last minute, so was not prepared. I tied a balloon to the back of my collar on my top and went as Balloon Girl. I got asked all day long if it was my birthday:rolleyes: It was the easiest costume I have ever done. In years past I have gone as a xmas tree with lights and my feet were presents, picnic table complete with ants, and one year when I still had horses, as Lady Godiva on her horse.
