I am finally back! :)

Hello Everyone, :)

I haven't been on-line since late October. My antiquated Webtv crashed on me, and I couldn't access any of my account information. My hubby being the wonderful man that he is, bought me a brand new lap top with all of the bells and whistles. I am now trying to figure out how to use it. :D

I just had emergency surgery last tuesday. I had previously had a ultra-sound done for extreme pains to my left side and back 3-wks prior. Everything had come back clear. I was at work on a monday, keeled over, and had to go to the E.R.. They did a Cat Scan and found a kindey stone the size of a golf ball!:eek:
The surgeon stated that he has no clue how something this size could have been missed. Soooooo.......I am on two-weeks bed rest. Let me tell you, I am bored out of my mind.

I hope all is well with everyone, and that Santa was good to you all. I have missed being here, chattting with all of my wonderful friends. I had such a problem trying to sign in. I kept getting invalid password. Now it works. Go figure. I hope to play catch up with everyone. Have a great evening.

Welcome back! You were one of those whom I thought about who were among "the missing". I'm so sorry about your golf ball sized kidney stone (Ouch!), but am glad to hear you're on the mend.

And congrats about getting that snazzy new laptop. ;) I'm sure it'll take you a while just to go through the posts since you were here last. We've had some problems, now and then, with spam. We do what we can to report them, and then Hillary whisks them away for us. :)

Hello Chapter Two, :)

If you have ever had labor pains, mutiply kidney stones by 4. I thought I would die. Actually, I was told if I didn't get there when I did, the stone being as big as it was, could have ruptured my uretha tube? I have a stent still in me, and on Monday they will decide to remove it or not. I still have some fragments of the stone left, so they are hoping when the stent is removed, the remainding fragments will flow out. My fingers are crossed that, that will happen.

A belated Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. I can't wait to start reading all of the back posts. I remember some Spam problems back when I was on. You think that they would find adult things to do. Like maybe, read Cottage and Bungalows. ;)

Nice to see you back. Sorry about the kidney stone. My dad has had multiple episodes with them. They are definately not fun. His last doctor told him to drink plain lemonade everyday. Apparently it helps to stop the formation of kidney stones and keep the calcium from building up. That was two years ago and he has not had any problems since. He gets regular scans to make sure he is clear and ever since drinking the lemonade no problems. Might be worth giving it a try. Hope your holidays are going well and make sure you rest. Happy Holidays to you and yours. No.....they definitely weren't fun. Especially being golf ball size! :eek: I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow, hopefully he will be able to tell me why this occurred and how to prevent them from happening again. I had one years ago, but it was small, and never caused the pain that this one did. I will try the lemonade, and mention it to the surgeon. What could it hurt? Thank you!
