Marie,
She started eating again about three days ago. The bad news is, all she really wants to eat is people tuna. She's eaten about four cans of it in the last three days. She'll occasionally eat some of the treats I put down for her, and I did hear her crunching some of her kibbles last night, so she is making progress. I give her an appetite stimulant and a chemo drug every three days and the transdermal steroid every day. Personally, I think it's the steroid that is making the difference because the appetite pill wasn't helping much when she wasn't on the steroid. So tonight on the way home I'll be stopping at the store for more tuna. I've been trying some other cat foods, but so far I haven't found one she prefers to tuna (not even kitty tuna). She's looking like she feels better now, too. I'm still holding my breath since it's only been a few days, but this is so much better than she has been in a month that I am beginning to hope she will survive this. The only other fear is if the month of near-starvation damaged her liver beyond repair.

I'm so glad to hear that she is eating. I do hope she continues to improve and will eventually start eating kitty food.

I bought some Whiskas cat tuna entree, and she's been eating at it bit by bit tonight. She probably doesn't like it as well as human tuna, but I think she'll consent to eat it. I'm pretty relieved, at least so far.

I'm so glad I mentioned the "people tuna" to you, shabby. That worked for my guy, when he was under the weather. Sometimes it seems you just have to spark their appetite with something irresistable! ;) I hope the good news continues...
