Just wondering what most of you use to clean your laminate floors. I purchased a Reveal floor cleaner, which is similar to a Swiffer. There is a container to put your choice of cleaning product in to spray and use.
I looked at WalMart, and found no product for laminate. Even the Swiffer cleaner doesn't have the word "laminate" on the package, only hardwoood.
Right now I am using vinegar and water. Any suggestions to a cheap household cleaner?

Mac, that's what I use on my hardwood floors. A dash of vinegar, a little dish detergent and some very hot water. Works every time and suits my Scottish wallet ;)

The guy who installed my daughter's laminate told her vinegar and water. That's what she has used with good results. Of course, use white vinegar. I can't remember the mix ratio, but I can ask her if you need me to.

I always remember reading that you're not supposed to soak laminate with too much water - it can warp. So I guess you should wring out your mop very well.

Well, my favorite product for cleaning laminate floors is my maid. :)
She uses Zep, which is a spray & wipe product. I think I get it a Lowe's or Home Depot. Can't remember which. But I bet the vinegar and water is just as good and a lot cheaper.

Well Shabby, the Butler usually cleans mine. But, there are those rare occasions when he's busy or has the day off, and one must resort to one's effort........yeah right!

Bruce's Laminate floor cleaner. I brought a laminate floor cleaning kit at Lowes that came with a handle and a soft microfiber pad and the cleaner. It's awesome. My floor still looks new after a year. You spray the cleaner on the floor pad of the dust mop in the kit and it leaves a nice shine.

I use the Bona laminate floor cleaner. It works fantastic. I use it with the O-Cedar floor mop. It works fantastic, does not leave a film, and cleans really really well.:)

I do notice occasionally after the housecleaner has been here that there are super slick spots on my laminate. I never see anything, but I realize as I go skidding that I've hit a slick spot. I'm not sure what that's all about. It's not wet or anything, just slippery as all get out.

LOL. Luckily, that's one thing I don't have to worry about. She's as honest as the day is long. She's the third person I've had from the agency, and she's the best. The first person they let go because they found out she had a seizure disorder (which I'm still not sure is legal for them to do), the second one was just terrible at her job, but the third time has been the charm. I love knowing that every other week, the house is going to be cleaned from stem to stern and that it'll be beautiful and smell nice when I come home. It's totally worth the money. With my pay cut, I've cut back on lattes and other indulgences, but I'm keeping the maid as long as I can (though I've spent $250 on the cat this week, so my finances are taking a hit). I'd rather get a second job to pay for the maid than do the cleaning myself.

Yeah, it can be a hassle cleaning. But, I don't mind doing it really. Besides, my place is in a constant state of DIY, there's always a mess, somewhere. :)
