I recently became the owner of a lovely Spanish Bungalow. While the property does not "need" any immediate maintenance, over time I would like to enhance it's charm. Can anyone recommend an architect or designer in the Pasadena area that specializes in the Spanish Bungalow style? I would really love to find a resource that I can go to with large and small questions. Anything from "Which porch lights should I choose?" to "What should the new surrounding exterior wall look like?"

Welcome:) Would love to see some pics of your bungalow. I absolutely love Pasadena. I live in Southern CA also. I live in Norco, which is between Corona and Riverside. Don't have an architect recommendation for you, but you could easily do an internet search on authentic spanish bungalow's, and their fixtures, etc. :)

Hi Sfeatherstone,

You are lucky to live near bungalow expert and restorer, Michael Logan, who is also one of C&B's contributors. He is well versed in all bungalow styles including Spanish Revival; he can also recommend folks for you.

I will send you a private message with his info as I don't want to post his e-mail (to avoid spam). For those of you interested in contacting him, too, please send me a PM or you can find his contact information in the magazine.

A few other great contacts/resources:
Dayle Zukor Interior Design (I will send you her e-mail)/ bungalow interiors
www.PasadenaArchitecturalSalvage.com (Gayle Stoner)/ historic details
www.HistoricHouseColors.com (Robert Schweitzer)
www.PasadenaHeritage.org (Join the organization for support and information)
And of course, Cottages & Bungalows magazine (on newsstands or by subscriptions)
www.cottagesandbungalowsmag.com

Can't wait to hear how about your progress!
