A little bit of good news.

We got a call from the VA that Dave qualifies for VA insurance since he was in the ARMY during the Vietnam War, although he did not go over there. What that means as far as I know, is that he can go to Ft. Wayne, which is an hour away, for any medical things he needs, with no co pays and it covers his meds. For him, it was based on our income since he lost his job. That leaves me, Ashley and Austin to find healthcare for. At least it won't be as much. Now, for him to find a job so we can all have an insurance policy again. He should be starting the church job here soon. They are not to quick about getting back on things.

One day at a time, Marie. That's good about the insurance for Dave. I wish you luck in finding some for you and the kids.

It's a good start, Marie, but of course not nearly enough. Medical insurance is such a hard thing to do without. Gone are the days when a doctor would make a house call and go home with a dozen eggs or a modest fee. I'll keep my fingers crossed for continued good health for you and your family and for the fates to be kind to you and send Dave a good, solid job with bennies for you all.
