Hi everyone~ Having just reconnected with Chapter2 , a fellow jersey girl, I found out she LOVES fiesta!
I have just started on this new addiction but I am completely head over heels in love with the stuff~
New fiesta that is. I'm sure eventually it will run over to the vintage but for now I'm content with new.
I'm on a quest to find or figure out how best to display it. I only have place settings at the moment but I couldn't stand the thought of all those pretty colors behind cabinet doors so they are in my china cabinet. I'm not sure it is the best place tho so on with the quest!!
Are there others out there? Just curious! :o

Never,
I think Martha Stewart has a putty that you can stand your dishes in the cupboard with. It is earthquake worthy. I read about it years ago and I have wanted some. I prop some of my my ironstone sometimes and it makes me nervous that it will fall. I have some things that are over 100 years old. I think you can use it under things to make them not tip over. You might Google it.
I think plate stands are cute with the dishes standing, there again I worry they will get knocked over accidentally. I am gonna get me some of that stuff. Right now I use some sticky tac but it is blue and you can see it.

I love the look of fiesta ware, and enjoy looking at it. I really don't have the room or money for it, but I'd love to see some pictures of your collection:).

First off, so glad you found us!!! And second off, where the H*ll have you been?! :p
I do love the Fiesta, my quest is to get the pastel version but the prices are so high! FYI, have you ever been to that antique mall on Broadwater? Where Gibson's used to be? Well they are closing and many of the booths are offering discounts, I saw some Fiestaware there but don't remember off hande what they are charging. I just knew it was beyond what I'd pay. :o

Hey Chy.... Crap ... where to begin! School started and I lost track of time! LOL.... Seriously, it's like I lost 4-5 months in there someplace. Must be age creeping up on me :p BUT..i'm back! I'm so glad I found you guys again!
I will have to keep my eye out for the pastels at cheap prices for you! I just really started this whole thing but managed to get quite a few place settings for Christmas and then added to them with a "merry christmas" to me! I actually just ordered a evergreen place setting from dillards because they are clearancing those out. It was pretty cheap and I had a free shipping coupon to use so it worked out. heck, I would have driven up there for that! I can always use a trip north!!
I have been to that place on broadwater but not for awhile! Do you know when they are closing? I was telling my mom that we needed a girls day up there so we can hit the different places. I love going downtown too..but hardly ever do since most of the shopping I MUST do is out on the west end! I wish I was a bit closer!!!
Love hearing about what everyone has been doing! and you kitchen is finally PINK??? where ARE the pictures?

According to the Gazette they close on the 15th of Feb so you have a couple weeks to get up here. As long as the weather cooperates at least. Wow winter is being brutal this year! I hear that you guys have more snow than us, right now ours is blowing so we should be sending even more your way.
There is a little one on Broadwater called the Mercantile that is pretty nice, I believe it is on 19th and Broadwater if you need your antique fix on the West End. Haven't been to Granny's for awhile nor Yesteryear. I hear ya on going downtown. Parking is a hassle big time and the panhandlers are really pushy this year.

I've thrifted a couple of pieces, but we're not far from where Fiesta is made in Ohio, so it shows up sometimes at the thrift stores.
