Do robins go south for the summer (from NW Ohio), I just saw the biggest fattest robin sitting in the snowcovered tree. Just thought that was odd.

Hey Mac :) I live within 1 hour of the gulf of Mexico and I do not get robin's here all year long. I don't know where they go. They are not seed eaters so how in the world do they eat in the snow season????? I believe they are here in the spring. They are a very big bird. I love them and I wish they were here longer.
I have lots and lots of cardinals. They are here all seasons.

We have robins year round. And when we lived in WV we had them year round also. They eat bugs and worms..so you see them digging in the ground and they do get big. We have a family of them that nest in our shrubs every year..we noticed their nest yesterday..I love them.
They were so happy with me this weekend when I raked all the leaves from along the fence line-- it left such nice dark dirt underneath and tons of fresh bugs - I had about 20 robins feasting their little fat belly's off then.

Here they are around all year. They are such nice birds, aren't they? We also have nasty black crows and sea gulls all year.

We KNOW Spring has arrived when we see our first robin! My Mom used to always say "Make a wish on your first robin!" :D
