Hello! I wanted to celebrate our more than 100 members on Cottages & Bungalows magazine's community forum!
So many new friends coming to our house to share ideas and stories makes a happy home.
You can find the February/March issue is on newsstands right now. We are working on the next one and we will be highlighting this wonderful community in that issue -- April/May (on newsstands 3/17/09).
Thank you for being a part of our growing family!
Best wishes,

Hi, Hillary!
We are all so grateful for the warm welcome that you have given us here at the forum for Cottages and Bungalows magazine. As some of our other favorite publications have disappeared, it's heartwarming to know that we still have a place to share ideas and to discuss articles that are in your outstanding magazine and elsewhere.
The group of ladies that formerly met at the Cottage Living forum is a warm and wonderful bunch! We have formed lasting friendships, made each other laugh, supported each other in many ways, and are thrilled to welcome new members. We're always ready, willing, and able to help our online friends with decorating dilemmas as well as to share thoughts and to offer shoulders to lean on in trying times.
As a freelance writer who has written for The Country Register in the past, I think it's so important that a magazine inspires its readers to dream and to plan and to hope, especially in these difficult times. We appreciate the fact that you and the staff are receptive to hearing what types of information and articles are most helpful to us, as we decorate and renovate our nests.
How exciting that you are highlighting our community in the April/May issue! I have recently subscribed to C & B, and look forward to many years of pleasurable reading.
I wish Cottages and Bungalows continued success, and please know that we offer our assistance, in any way possible.
Best wishes,
Kim (ChapterTwo)

Thank you Cottages and Bungalows for this very nice site. I love V-bulletin, it is the most user friendly format.
Is this site becoming what you had hoped for? I wonder what your expectations are for this site are?
Again thanks for a place to be with the cottage friends that I have grown so close to. There is no finer bunch of girls to know.
I agree with Lisa on this.....I wish we all loved on the same street.:)
One hundred and growing! What a wonderful place to visit ~ without even leaving home. Special friends, special stories~ with a real family flavor.
Congrats on this new forum...

Thank you for hosting us. These ladies mean more than I can say and I would have missed them desperately if we hadn't gathered here.
Another thanks for creating such a wonderful magazine. In this time of magazine closure extraordinaire, we wish you every success. I think you have a great product.

Thank you Hillary for creating a wonderful place to meet and exchange ideas with some of the nicest people I've found on message boards!
I used to lurk over at the CL forum but when this new site was created I decided to jump right in and have been warmly welcomed.
As was stated earlier, with the demise of so many wonderful decorating magazines I wish continued success to Cottages and Bungalows!

Hi Hilary
Thank you again so much for welcoming us all to your great forum site. As you can see we've settled right in and you wouldn't even know we were at a different place. ;)
I'm looking forward to many years of a great magazine, last night I pulled out an old publication of Romantic Homes and there you were!!! Guess it was destined that we'd cross paths. :)

I am following through with one of my New Year's Resolutions: spend more time with friends. You have been there for the most special times in my life and I want to wish you continued success with Cottage & Bungalows!
Now that we've downsized from the mansion on the hill, it's time to get serious about making our new little house a home ... what great ideas you've had in the magazine and thank you for the inspiration your forum provides, especially from those who have gone from big home to small and simple too. I know it will take time to transform our humble abode into our special sanctuary of rest and relaxation. We started small and simple, we can do it again!
Be well, Hillary, and keep up the great work.
Me ke aloha,
Leialoha

Sure! Visit the web site www.cottagesandbungalowsmag.com.
There you can read past Editor's Letters and much more.
(We are in process of updating it.)
To find the magazine on newsstands, go to Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Target, Border's, Barnes & Noble, CVS or many grocery and drug store chains carry it, too.
Look for the Feb/March issue.
For back issues/subs visit: http://store.beckett.com/Homes-Magazines-Cottages-and-Bungalows/
The spirit of C&B is lively here on the forums, too. Enjoy!

Hi Linda,
I'm hoping your state and mine will miss the storm that they're predicting for later this week. It sounds like a doozy!

Hi ChapterTwo, :)
My hubby said they predicted it to track to the south of us, but if it does track to the north, we could end up with a foot. It all depends on what the jet stream does. I should have know that bragging about what a mild winter we are having, would eventually turn around and make me eat my words. LOL!
I hope it avoids you. I forgot, which state do you live in? Stay warm and be safe my friend.
Have a good evening.
Hugs,
Linda :)

Hi Linda,
I live in New Jersey - born and raised! I think you live about the closest to me, here on C & B. There used to be someone from NY state (can't remember who that was) but she was very far upstate.
Sometimes I think I preferred back in the "olden days" ;) when you knew it was going to snow when the first flakes started to fall!
A foot of snow is not something that any of us wants to deal with. We had about an inch overnight, but it didn't really stick to the streets. My kind o' snow...
Tnx, Linda, hope your evening is a nice, cozy one too!
Hugs,

Whoo hoo! It's Meryl's birthday today. Meryl is Cottages & Bungalows' talented managing editor (and one of our forum's moderators). She is funny, too--makes us laugh when the work gets tough. I am lucky to work with such a great person. We hope you have a wonderful day, Meryl!

Hi ChapterTwo, :)
Sorry this is late in replying. They said that we can get upwards to 8-inches tonight. I just hope they are wrong like they have been in the past. :D
Friends of our in Maryland received 2-ft of that dreaded white stuff.
Have a good day my friend.
Hugs,
Linda :)

Welcome, tallpinescyndi!
Go to the top of this page and click (it's on the left) where it says,
"Forums - Cottages & Bungalows". Then when the list comes up, click on "Home Sweet Home" and then click where it says "New Thread". That should do it, I hope. :o
