Well with weather in the 70's these couple of days I am painting furniture again and loving it. Well my arms are very sore from that palm sander today but I loved putting primer on the 3 chairs. I have another chair to prime and three tables to do. I realized that I don't have enough furniture so need to make some habitat runs and some yard sales..but it is supposed to rain this weekend so we'll see.
I'll post some pics soon of the painting frenzy.

I never get to go to yard sales since I work. It used to be they were held on Saturdays, somehow over the years got moved up to Thr/Fri, and some even on Wed. So frustrating. Have fun and hope you find some good finds.

Yard sales in the middle of the week? That's nuts! Who could go to those? Actually I could, but it seems like it would limit your potential buyers.

Yep, here in NW Ohio I would say at least 75% of them are on Thurs and Fri. Crazy. If you work no way to get there. Plus, many close at 5. Guess they really don't want to sell their stuff.

A fellow yard sale nut and I used to hit some on our lunch break. I sure do miss my Ruthie. :( It is amazing to me how many people are at those things during the week! I agree, they are severly limiting their clientele. Most of the people around here start on Friday and go thru Saturday but by Saturday most of the good stuff is long gone. soooooo frustrating!

To me, anyone having a sale on Wed., Thurs., or Fri. is catering to the dealers. At least around here, those are the people who come knocking at your door at 7 a.m. on the day of the sale, saying "I can't come later" (no regard or respect for the seller)...they always try to get the jump on the competition and catch you off-guard so that you'll sell way below value.
I stick to my guns as to when the sale starts, and have had them cooling their heels, out by the curb...;) After all, when I'm the buyer at sales, I go by their rules.

Tammy I know you're busy with Cameron Day stuff but have you thought about an Etsy shop? The stuff you're making is really good! I especially like the little picture frames you put up on your blog.

Hmm Heather - I have thought I might try that after the show. We'll see how it goes. I am so up to my eyeballs in this stuff but then again it is my fault as I didn't begin tilll March 1st. What the holy hell was I thinking? :)
I keep finding more small things to do so I don't have to tackle the furniture. I hate to sand. Oh well on to more.

Thanks girls. I bought myself a small bouquet of peace roses at the grocery store today. woo hoo - I know I am so happening. But I did buy myself a pair of flipflops yesterday and had fun at hobby lobby with the princess of darkness- sophie.
Got one home sick today - so that is the last one - hopefully it has gone through the house and we are done with it.
now to go paint some frames I scored at the salvation army this morning..
