Christmas/Holiday Shopping 2011

How is everyone doing with the Christmas/holiday shopping? I still have a few little things to buy - I need to ship gifts to the mid-west so I'm hoping to get those in the mail, for sure, by Friday.

I need a little "gadgety" type thing for my friend's husband. I'll have to prowl around at the stores for that tonight...;)

We don't wrap gifts anymore, just go together and get something we need or really want. Took daughter shopping last Sunday and she got jeans and boots. Hubs and I got building supplies from Lowes/Home Depot. We are building a huge 20/14 storage shed for all our "junk":D I give restaurant gift certificates for his parents and my mom and aunt. The only other shopping I have to complete is for the foster kids that I buy for each year. This year was a good year for us, so I was able to pick 7 names. The program is sponsored by Starbucks and they have been doing it for three years now. Last year I also adopted a family with three little girls, but this year my friend adopted them, so was able to concentrate more on the foster kids. It is a wonderful program with ages ranging from birth to 19. A lot of people do not realize that these kids are basically forgotten each year, and when they graduate from High School, they are on their own. I just cannot imagine not having a family. This program is very near and dear to my heart.

I am just about "wrapped" up- But like Chapter Two a thing or two- maybe gadgety thing too.
