Ok, so we've changed the clocks, have any of you changed your decor to reflect the new season approaching?
It's finally showing signs of warming up here. I dug into my closet and pulled out my springy stuff, bunnies etc. Why am I not feeling it? I think my style has matured and all this cute-sy stuff is not making the cut. Or, I'm just too lazy, I think its the latter.
Any inspiration pics to help me get into the mood would be most appreciated :).
I'm going to try and incorporate these bunnies, I think they did what bunnies do best, I have a mess of them and this is just a sampling !
Good reminder---I need to take down my apple/winter wreath on the front door :o---
The bunny collection is precious~

Here is a table of spring things that sits at the bottom of my stairs. That area has held a bench and such it is just wasted space so I put the old oak round table there.

I did finally take all the winter stuff from the mantle and put out some st. pattys day stuff but need to get the Easter stuff out and have it ready to make the big switch on Thursday-
Is it just me or are those two holidays too close together this year?
Tammy ~ Looks great! What a great idea for space that isn't used.

Yes, Easter is really early this year! I would like to put our white dropcloth slipcovers on and get a slipcover for our Ottoman in a cool print. It would be nice if I could think of things to make our main room feel lighter for spring.

I don't really decorate specifically for spring, but I repainted my bathroom and hallway, light soft colors and will be repainting my diningroom next weekend, also lighter colors. So I guess that counts:D I also replaced my window coverings in the livingroom. I had bamboo shades, which I loved, but I just was not getting enough light into the room. I wanted white plantation shutters, but wayyyyy too expensive. Instead I got white plantation blinds. I love them. I get so much more light now. Before, if I wanted light I had to pull the bamboo shades all the way up and than my windows got dirty everyday from 5 little dog noses:eek:. Now I just open the blinds and get light, but the dogs cannot get to the window. I put up white wainscoting in my bathroom and hallway and I told hubs I want it throughout the whole house. He just looked at me;)

I have to find the top of my dining room table before I can put Spring on it. I'm bad.:D
I love plantation blinds too!
I have daffodils that are close to blooming, and today is the first I noticed buds on the maple tree. Spring is coming. Today it was almost 60 and blue skies. My daughter sat out in the sun. Not warm enough for that for me.

OOOH Marie, I love daffodils:) We are in the 80's here and will be staying that way for a while. I love this time of year. Unfortunately before you know it, we will be in Summer and for about 2 1/2 to 3 months we have temps up to 111, even 115 at times. Way too hot for me. But for now I am enjoying it. Last night I ate dinner outside on the patio and than played ball with the dogs. It was wonderful:D

I planted budding bulbs outside. They will take a while to bloom, but it was a way to welcome Spring in the door and a way to wet my urge to start planting. I'm thinking of starting some cabages this weekend, maybe some peas. It is still early.
I need to take down my Saint Patricks day decor tommorow.
