Rory - all of the pics are fab and the church is beautiful!
It seems so strange to see trees with leaves and flowers everywhere cause it's so brown here.
Thank you so much for posting your lovely pictures!:)

It's all beautiful, Rory! I especially like the church. I love to photograph them, too. Your summer is so pretty. I'm like Linn--it seems strange to see all that pretty green when we are all looking at bare trees and brown grass!

Rory..."A Town Like No Udder"? :D I thought only the U.S. had corny sayings like that!
Aside from that...the church is really lovely, the greenery is making me yearn for spring (Received two seed catalogs yesterday!) and that theater is something else. Is it original art deco style? Is it true to style inside?
I loved the photos!
I just spotted your other photos - that tree is massive, and so beautifully shaped.
The architecture you've shown us is astounding, and
your puppy dogs are adorable!

Many thanks for all your comments, folks.
Yes, Linn it's certainly a climb to the top of the Durie Hill tower. I recall about 170 odd steps.
We had to run to the top of the hill, then the tower for P.E when we were kids (some hid in the bushes at the bottom, when the school masters weren't looking :D).
The tower was built as a war memorial.

Rory I would have been hiding in the bushes right along with the other kids!;)

I would have been hiding in the bushes, too. I'm out of breath just thinking about all those stairs!
