A Very Whimsy Christmas

Join Cottages & Bungalows for a Christmas event unlike anything we’ve hosted before. On Saturday, November 14th, we’re stepping off the pages of the magazine and into the home of Wendy Conklin of Chair Whimsy, our 2026 Brand Ambassador — a home already known for the kind of joyful, personal style that makes a house feel like a story. For one day, it’s decorated for the holidays, opened to guests, and turned into a live Cottages & Bungalows experience.

Each ticket includes a guided home tour, three rotating speaker sessions, and access to a curated Christmas market — all wrapped in sips, bites, and holiday atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

What You’ll Experience
A Holiday Home Tour Walk through Wendy’s downstairs and stairwell, fully decorated for the season. See firsthand how a home filled with personality and whimsy comes together for the holidays — the kind of styling and detail Cottages & Bungalows readers know and love.

Three Speaker Sessions Every guest rotates through three short sessions (15 minutes each, plus time for Q&A), hearing from all three hosts in one visit:

Wendy Conklin on building a home filled with whimsy and personality
Kelly McMaster, Editor-in-Chief of Cottages & Bungalows, on her path in the magazine world and how to land a feature in print.
Sara McDaniel, entrepreneur and author, on her new book, The Bright Side of the Other Side.

A Curated Christmas Market Once the sessions wrap, step outside to a backyard market of local vendors — a chance to shop for the season, pick up something for yourself or a gift list, and enjoy sips and bites throughout. Sara will also be on hand signing copies of her book during the market.

The Schedule:

10:00 – 10:10
Check-in, welcome sip
10:10 – 10:30
Home tour of the decorated downstairs and stairwell
10:30 – 11:30
Three rotating 20-minute speaker sessions with Wendy, Kelly, and Sara
11:30 – 12:00
Christmas market — shopping in the backyard, sips & bites, book signing with Sara

75 tickets are available per session. $50 per ticket includes the home tour, all three speaker sessions, complimentary magazines, market access, and sips & bites throughout.
