Start with Something You Love

Instead of classic Christmas green and red, I opted for gingham. An all-time favorite pattern, here it’s featured in black and white as a table runner and paired with napkins in a smaller gingham pattern for double the impact.

A Little Something French

Joyeux Noël! A little something French always adds a romantic vibe to a table, and these black-and-white plates with the French Christmas greeting look amazing set alongside the bold gingham napkins and runner. Vintage white Wedgwood china, rustic whitewashed raffia placemats, a scattering of vintage brass Eiffel Tower souvenirs and classic bistro chairs add to the fanciful theme.

Whimsical Details

Cute little deer are the perfect whimsical reminder of fairy tales and cottage charm, and add a woodsy vibe to the table. Black-and-white plates with a stately stag head at their center and a few tiny white deer standing on small pedestals with surrounding evergreen boughs continue the woodland theme.

Cozy, Rustic Charm

Black and white with a hint of green is the perfect color combination for this romantic table setting with rustic overtones. Rustic elements like freshly cut pine branches and textured raffia placemats instantly add coziness. Evergreen and eucalyptus branches unify the look of the table as they’re simply placed down the center of the table in a wave pattern. A few faux antlers in the centerpiece echo the deer motif.

A Rose Is a Rose

Delicate and feminine, fragrant roses always brighten up a room. With this table’s minimal color scheme, the soft-blush tinge of these roses adds just a subtle pop of color. Mercury-glass cups are the perfect container for these petite roses and add a bit of glamour to the table.

Vintage Accents

Just as  brides are advised to wear “something old” among other suggestions on their wedding day, so too with a romantic tablescape. Something old represents continuity in life, and in this case the standout old items are the vintage green Indiana glass goblets. Colored vintage glassware adds necessary sparkle to the table and makes it feel merry and bright! Antique silverware also contributes to the vintage ambience and brings the whole look together.
