A creative and popular décor influencer brings the joy of Christmas to her home and her followers.

Even before there was social media, Nissa-Lynn Parson wanted her house to become a magical holiday home at Christmastime. A Texas-based interior decorator and a well-known brand influencer, she recalls fond memories of her mother at Christmas.

“When I was young, I remember my mother spending days every year decorating for Christmas,” Nissa-Lynn notes. “She would transform the entire downstairs into a whimsical, magical ‘Christmasland.’”

Christmas Is Her “Jam”

With an impressive 84.7 thousand Instagram followers, Nissa-Lynn shares her favorite decorating tips, DIY projects and party décor to encourage others to unlock their passion for design.

As a mother of five children who range in age from 6 to 21, her greatest joy comes from decorating her home for the holidays, transforming it into a magical holiday home.

Nissa-Lynn makes it look easy with a plaid comforter, festive throw pillows, an ornamental bauble on the nightstand and a lavish candy cane-and-red-ribbon tree. Nissa-Lynn explains: “My love for elegant Christmas trees started when I was a little girl. I often visited Macy’s department store on 33rd Street in New York City, and I remember being in awe of all the large, shining Christmas ornaments, lights and stunning ribbon. Macy’s felt like a palace. Drawing on those memories, I used silver, gold and navy to bring my regal Christmas tree to life.”

“Christmas is my ‘jam,’” Nissa-Lynn says, “and it’s a huge event in our home. For me, decorating for the holidays brings happiness and excitement to the normal day, and it’s something to look forward to in the midst of the day-to-day routine.”

With more than 15 years in the design industry, Nissa-Lynn discovered that everyone’s surroundings affect their lives in areas of productivity, disposition and confidence.

Creating Christmas sugar jars (a decorating necessity!) with tiny tin houses is a fun an easy project for the entire family.

“The greatest reward is helping people create beautiful spaces,” Nissa-Lynn explains. “I enjoy sharing decorating tips and tricks that I’ve learned in order to inspire others to love the space they’re in.”
